Composition: 10.5
Mixing: 10
13/8 implementation: 10.5
Other thoughts: I think the composition could've benefitted from being a little longer and more varied, and the bass could've been a bit deeper to stand out more. Additionally, I would've liked the 13/8 to be more than just 12/8 with a pause at the end. There's a great idea in here, but it definitely needed more TLC to emerge.
Average score: 10.3

Yeah, this ain’t a good song, but I love how your making everything on a 13/8
But yeah, if you want actually decent crap, check literally anything above this track on my account. Thanks for the feed back! :D

Other thoughts: For what it's worth, the drop made me say aloud "Wait this is kinda nasty!" LOL. Really enjoyed the approach of tackling 13/8 as two fours and a five, and the key change was another great track. I think the repetitive melody used works great, but some variation would've been awesome and the ending should've been less abrupt. Additionally, while the mix was a little harsh, given the genre tropes you're working with I think it fits well in-context.

Other thoughts: I scored 13/8 implementation at 12.5 because of the multitude of ways you approached the groove throughout the piece. I honestly don't have much to say other than I enjoyed this one a lot! Solid progression, solid mixing, solid usage of the time sig - just a solid track all around. Nicely done!

Thanks for the review and the chance to try out the 13/8 time sig's!

Other thoughts: LOVED the composition. Wild, crazy, unpredictable, off-kilter - very very fun to listen all the way through, most importantly. The main thing that's holding the composition back is the mixing - some parts of the track hurt my ears a little bit! The mix was clear, but far too loud in some areas. Other than that, though, I thoroughly enjoyed the ride. (Also the "HAND" title reference made me smile, and the YouTube visualizer was a great touch!)

thank you for your review! i definitely feel like i should have done some limiting on the RMS in retrospect; i'll probably do that for a future release ;)

Other thoughts: Loved the composition, and I loved how driving it was - although I do wish there was a little more variety to it. I also thought the synths that come in around the 0:39 mark and 1:04 mark could have been a little quieter. Overall though I think you have a great track! I loved the juxtaposition of the intro and outro as well.

Other thoughts: Big props for your time sig switch being to another odd signature, but I didn't find the overall composition to be very compelling. The feeling you're trying to covey comes across well, but some decisions were a bit odd or unmemorable to me. Additionally, the switch from sounding ominous to sounding almost carnival-esque towards the end struck me as a little odd. Overall though, I did enjoy the track. It reminded me of something I might hear from a pinball machine, in a good way!

Other thoughts: I think there's some good ideas here, enough to where I can see the direction you're heading in. However, a lack of direction and some seemingly out of key notes hold the song back in my eyes. Additionally, the drums may have benefitted from being more electronic-sounding.

Other thoughts: Doing my best to set my bias aside since we've worked together many times before and I'm a fan of your music, but gosh darn it man can you shred. The composition has a lot of great ideas, but they ultimately feel disjointed - although that sort of feels like the point! I was going to score the composition at an 11.5 due to this, but the solo bumped it up.

I appreciate the generous review haha. This was a fun competition idea.
This track makes me laugh every time I listen to it. Super great idea executed excellently!
(Seeing that this was inspired by Chug Jug is INSANE btw)
Specifically the Rok Nardin version of Chug Jug. Rok Nardin has other "trailer like" tracks but that one is the funniest to me.
Also, glad you like it!
