(Please note that instead of being scored on a 0-5 point scale, tracks are judged on an 8-13 point scale, with 8 being the lowest score and 13 being the highest.)

Composition: 12

Mixing: 12.5

13/8 implementation: 11.5

Other thoughts: Loved the berimbau opening! The overall composition feels so much like a track from a frustratingly hard indie puzzle game in the best way possible. Very fun and bouncy, while also feeling zen. I would have scored the mixing at a full 13, but the ambience got a little too loud towards the end.

Other thoughts: Big props for your time sig switch being to another odd signature, but I didn't find the overall composition to be very compelling. The feeling you're trying to covey comes across well, but some decisions were a bit odd or unmemorable to me. Additionally, the switch from sounding ominous to sounding almost carnival-esque towards the end struck me as a little odd. Overall though, I did enjoy the track. It reminded me of something I might hear from a pinball machine, in a good way!

Other thoughts: I think there's some good ideas here, enough to where I can see the direction you're heading in. However, a lack of direction and some seemingly out of key notes hold the song back in my eyes. Additionally, the drums may have benefitted from being more electronic-sounding.

Other thoughts: Doing my best to set my bias aside since we've worked together many times before and I'm a fan of your music, but gosh darn it man can you shred. The composition has a lot of great ideas, but they ultimately feel disjointed - although that sort of feels like the point! I was going to score the composition at an 11.5 due to this, but the solo bumped it up.

Composition: 12.5

Mixing: 11

13/8 implementation: 12

Other thoughts: The implementation of lyrics elevates this track a whole, whole lot in my eyes. The core melody is also very good! The mixing is what drags the score down a bit, unfortunately; with headphones, the vocals feel muddy and clashing with the bass. That's really my only issue though, I enjoyed this track a lot!

Composition: 12.5

Mixing: 11

13/8 implementation: 8.5

Other thoughts: I very much enjoy this track! However, the mixing can be a little muddy (that very catchy main melody feels a little drowned out), and I have a very hard time hearing the 13/8 implementation. I'm sure it's there, but my brain can't catch it no matter how many times I re-listen to the track.

This track makes me laugh every time I listen to it. Super great idea executed excellently!

(Seeing that this was inspired by Chug Jug is INSANE btw)

Irish-Soul responds:

Specifically the Rok Nardin version of Chug Jug. Rok Nardin has other "trailer like" tracks but that one is the funniest to me.

Also, glad you like it!

oh my retro...

The high energy of this was perfect to abruptly cut to after the first skit. Really liked this interpretation a lot!!

Let freedom ring :salute:

Loved the almost Christmas-y downward note pattern lol; great adaptation of this song!
