[NG Audio Portal 20th Anniversary Collab]

Can't wait to have my notis blowing up for the next week LOL. Such an honor to have been apart of this record breaking collab, and I'm excited to listen to the full thing!!!

The melodic structure and simplistic style reminds me a great deal of classic Namco arcade tunes. Really nice recreation of that feeling!

There's a few good ideas here; the little chime flourishes, for example, were well timed and added a bit of flair to the piece.

However, I think overall the song felt empty and unstructured. A few notes felt out of place and didn't really match up with the key of the song. Additionally, while I see the idea here, it doesn't really feel like the song has any specific identity or direction.

Keep practicing; you'll get better with time! It's awesome that you're practicing music and trying something new. Keep going!!

Taking notes so I can look into how to improve that specifically.

Specially the structure and idea, ngl, I try to, but so far I just end fixing things until they sounds slightly less like noise, haha!

[Druiden - Battle dungeon]

I think there’s the bones of a good idea here, but it needs some work. The notes are a bit out of tune with each other, and the drum track is uninteresting. I also think adding another instrument over the bassline would’ve helped it.

Again, I can see a good idea here, but the song itself just doesn’t live up to it. Keep going; practice makes perfect!

I love the direction you decided to take this in!! I think the scenario you crafted (both the soundscape and the POV story) heightened the music a lot. I definitely felt like I wasn’t listening to a song, rather listening to someone show me a song that was directly in front of me. Really cool!

[Ravin' Race (Gappy's Playground OST)]

I'm in love with how funky this is! Great underlying melody that repeats very nicely, and really good instrumentation (reminds me of a more dance-infused Mutant Mudds song, if that makes sense). Great stuff; can't wait to hear the rest of the OST on Pixel Day!

Only thing I can think to say is that the snare compliments the sound perfectly. Otherwise this just has my flabbers gasted, bro. Excellent job.

Really trippy, great to zone out to, as you pointed out in your description (hope you're doing okay btw). I had it on while writing out the song description for my own submission today and it really helped me get into the zone and gather my thoughts, while also grabbing my attention. From a thematic standpoint, the song reminds me of the ocean - I think you describing it as "oppressive" is accurate, but at the same time it feels calm. Really cool stuff.

Really liked this tune; the extra fill towards the end sealed the deal for me. I can imagine this playing during some sort of early-game boss fight. I do think the melody could've been a bit stronger, but overall I had funnn (lol) listening to this!

[JAMUARY 2023 (day 1) - Sting]

Really nice; I like that it doesn't try to do anything crazy and keeps it short but simple. Sounds like I'm sneaking around a creepy sewer or an evil organization's hideout. Awesome job!
