Yoooo this goes hard?!?!?!?!?1!?

ReesesinPieces responds:

Hard with a question mark yeah

YOOO sweet to see more of your work on NG! Stinky Boy Strut is iconic; the way you use vocal chops and/or samples is such an inspiration. Its core motif is also super catchy, and the switch up at the end happens incredibly naturally.

This was incredible! The chorus is super catchy, the melodic structure is ear candy, the opening drums had me hooked instantly, and the vocalization fit the song perfectly. I absolutely loved the song.

BTW, welcome to Newgrounds! I hope you've been enjoying it so far!

Kreagato responds:

tysm!!!!!!! im absolutely enjoying being on here :D

Thank you for letting me help bring this to life. Sorry again that not all of my segments I sent over could be used (oops) but the final product is downright magical regardless, and I'm honored to have been apart of it.

I really liked this segment! It reminds me tonally of something from a Rivals of Aether trailer. Really solid buildup segment as well. Nice work!

OVERSCORE responds:

Thank you, I’m glad you liked it! I’m not sure what Rivals of Aether is, I’ll go look it up

Can't wait to have my notis blowing up for the next week LOL. Such an honor to have been apart of this record breaking collab, and I'm excited to listen to the full thing!!!

Edit: My instrumental submission starts at 46:27 if anyone is interested!

Troisnyx responds:

Only had 72 of those on the submission date, my most yet!

The melodic structure and simplistic style reminds me a great deal of classic Namco arcade tunes. Really nice recreation of that feeling!

Viraxor responds:

Thank you!

There's a few good ideas here; the little chime flourishes, for example, were well timed and added a bit of flair to the piece.

However, I think overall the song felt empty and unstructured. A few notes felt out of place and didn't really match up with the key of the song. Additionally, while I see the idea here, it doesn't really feel like the song has any specific identity or direction.

Keep practicing; you'll get better with time! It's awesome that you're practicing music and trying something new. Keep going!!

Sony-Shock responds:

Taking notes so I can look into how to improve that specifically.

Specially the structure and idea, ngl, I try to, but so far I just end fixing things until they sounds slightly less like noise, haha!

I think there’s the bones of a good idea here, but it needs some work. The notes are a bit out of tune with each other, and the drum track is uninteresting. I also think adding another instrument over the bassline would’ve helped it.

Again, I can see a good idea here, but the song itself just doesn’t live up to it. Keep going; practice makes perfect!

YazzyBlubber responds:

Thank you so much!! i'm still very new to music and mainly focus on developing but i'll try to better myself. Thanks for the comment!

I love the direction you decided to take this in!! I think the scenario you crafted (both the soundscape and the POV story) heightened the music a lot. I definitely felt like I wasn’t listening to a song, rather listening to someone show me a song that was directly in front of me. Really cool!

Howdy and hello, folks; my name is Christian Sasser, but you can call me MH4. I'm a Christian, a hobbyist video/music producer, and a third thing. If you’d like to collab on a project, feel free to ask!
